LAFPADA is a nonprofit organization committed to preserving and enhancing the wild trout fishery of Lough Arrow and its surrounding streams. Our work includes habitat restoration, conservation advocacy, angling education, and organizing community events and competitions.

 

 

 

📝 2. How can I become a member?

 

 

You can become a member by completing our membership application form and submitting the appropriate fee. Memberships typically run from January to December each year. We offer individual, family, and youth membership options.

 

 

 

🐟 3. Do I need a license to fish on Lough Arrow?

 

 

Yes. All anglers are required to hold a valid Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) permit or license in accordance with national fishing regulations. Please also carry your LAFPADA membership card when fishing in association-managed waters.

 

 

 

📅 4. When is the fishing season on Lough Arrow?

 

 

The brown trout fishing season on Lough Arrow generally runs from March 1st to September 30th. However, always check IFI regulations or contact us directly for any special notices or temporary closures.
