Event Overview
In support of ongoing stream maintenance work within the Lough Arrow catchment area, the Lough Arrow Fish Preservation Association & District Anglers is excited to host our first-ever Stream Development Competition in 2026. This event marks the beginning of what will hopefully become an annual event. All funds raised will be dedicated to future development & stream rehabilitation projects for Lough Arrow.
Competition Format
Catch, Photo & Release: As with all our club competitions, this event follows a Catch, Photo, & Release format.

Individual Competition: This will be an individual event for the single longest fish caught.

Joint Entry: Competitors can pick their own partner and will enter as pairs (one boating and one non-boating competitor). The combined entry fee is €200 for both competitors which will be paid in one payment.

Note: Boats are available for hire by clicking on the link below. Please ensure you have a boat booked prior to paying the entry fee.

Designated Launch Points
All boats must start and finish at Flynn's pier. Due to limited parking at Flynn's, boats can be launched at other areas and motored to Flynn's prior to the start. There are three designated launch points. Each location has a limited number of spaces allocated at booking, this is to prevent parking issues at each location. For example Ballinfad pier has 15 places allocated to it, your launch point can be selected at booking, so we encourage early registration to secure your preferred launch point:
