Scoil Mhuire Agus Iosaf Students Discover River Life

6th class in Scoil Mhuire Agus Iosaf recently took part in the ‘Something Fishy’ project in conjunction with IFI. They learned all about the lifecycle of salmon and other fish, as well as invertebrate identification and the importance of maintaining good water quality. The project culminated in a trip to the River Unshin for kick sampling, invertebrate and fish species identification and how they inform us about water quality. The school wish to thank IFI for accommodating them on a fantastic fact finding trip. A great day was had by all! Some pictures below.
